RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The primary role of the Legal Assistant is to be a key driver in assisting the company achieve its objectives by providing high quality and effective support to the management and outsourced resources to manage and safeguard legal contracts, government and project documentation requirements.
  • Communicate with various government agencies for the purpose of applying for permits,clearances, certificates or to follow up the status of any pending application
  • Closely monitor issuance and compliance of any requirements mandated by the national or local government
  • Liaise effectively with representatives of various stakeholders
  • Efficiently follow-up and remind field officers and outsourced
  • Site Acquisition Team (SAQ) to submit and upload ownership documents
  • Review and validate the authenticity of property documents submitted by the Field Officers and outsourced SAQ
  • Promptly inform the Field Officers and outsourced SAQ in case of discrepancy or insufficiency of the submitted ownership documents
  • Ensure that all documents are filed accordingly and uploaded to the online tower management system
  • Manage, organize, maintain, and safekeep legal documents in paper or electronic filing systems
  • Communicate with lawyers any requests for legal documents or legal opinion
  • Provide administrative support to lawyers and other departments while observing strict confidentiality of information
  • Prepare written responses to routine and simple inquiries
  • Light research work as requested by Management
  • Assist the business with any ad-hoc requests, such as doing some bank transactions, as well as inquiries and follow-ups with government agencies (e.g. SEC, BIR, and DOLE)
  • May conduct ad-hoc requests as needed by mother or sister companies

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management, Political Science, or related field
  • 2 years+ experience as a Legal Assistant/Legal Officer
  • Knowledge of and prior experience in dealing with various government offices (E.g. SEC, BIR, DOLE, among others)
  • Knowledge and understanding of labor and corporate laws, requirements, and processes.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and keep track of everything that needs to be done
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills
